AMARNATH YATRA 2024: PILGRIMS JUMP OFF BUS AFTER IT'S BRAKES FAIL, 10 INJURED | WATCH

Amarnath Yatra Bus Incident:  A terrible accident was avoided by the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday when a bus carrying Amarnath Yatra pilgrims lost control on National Highway 44 in the Ramban area. According to reports, the bus's brakes failed when traveling from Amarnath to Hoshiarpur. The pilgrims belonged to Punjab.

A video showing several pilgrims leaping out of the speeding bus went viral on social media. But the security personnel quickly stopped the bus from falling into the gorge. According to officials, the incident did not result in any deaths.

According to the officials, 40 pilgrims were riding the bus back to Punjab's Hoshiarpur. They stated that the car's brakes failed, thus the driver was unable to stop it when they arrived at Nachlana, which is close to Banihal.

Six men, three women, and one kid were among the ten wounded persons in the incident.

After observing the pilgrims jumping off the moving bus, the Army troops and police intervened quickly, putting stones under the bus's tires to prevent it from falling into the stream, according to unnamed officials cited by news agency PTI.

All of the injured people received first aid and medical attention from the army's Quick Reaction Teams and ambulance upon their arrival at the scene, according to the officials.

People were seen leaping off the bus in the startling footage from the occurrence, while security personnel were running behind the bus to try to stop it from sliding into the gorge.
